| UAB Basic Package |
One or two teaching artists as mentors that have been trained in Critical Revolutionary Hip Hop Pedagogy, placing the student at the center to co-create art that inspires change. This also includes required monthly professional development sessions for the mentors and support throughout the year. |
| UAB “Classroom to Community” Package |
Basic package plus two classroom guests per month for special presentations in music, arts, community issues, social movements or entrepreneurship. Professional grade photographs and documentation that Phipps can utilize on school websites or pamphlets. Field trip coordination to network with other youth artists and explore NYC’s vast inspirational resources, including famous street art sites that exemplify the social justice struggle and Hip Hop History. |
| UAB “Grow ‘n Prove” Package |
All of the above, plus assemblies or showcases. We generally start with a kick off show tailored to the specific school site incorporating Hip Hop History Roots and Culture with multiple UAB mentors to garner interest in the program. The semester will also end with youth showcasing their talents alongside UAB mentors (for example in a gallery format, or as a large mural) as accompaniment if needed. |
| UAB “Tangible Takeaway Package” |
This package can be in addition to the “Classroom to Community” or the “Grow ‘n Prove” package and involves the creation of an EP, album, video, calendar or artist journal highlighting the artwork of the students as a culminating project. |
